Why won’t the X app let me save the video?
Some videos in the X app show a “Download video” option, but it depends on your subscription and on the poster’s settings, so most videos don’t have it. No subscription is needed here: the link of any public post is enough.
How to copy a link in the X app
- On your phone: tap the share icon under the post, then Copy link.
- On x.com: open the post and copy the address bar, or use the share icon › Copy link.
- In full-screen video: the share option is in the menu at the top right.
Are x.com and twitter.com links the same?
Yes. Since Twitter was renamed X, old twitter.com links redirect to x.com and open the same post. The tool accepts both, as well as mobile.x.com links.

Can I download X videos without X Premium?
Yes. This tool doesn’t need a subscription or an X account; it works with the links of public posts.
Can I download long X videos?
Yes, as long as the file is no larger than 512 MB. For very long videos, a lower quality keeps the file smaller.
Can I download videos X marked as sensitive?
X doesn’t show the media of these posts to logged-out users. Downloading is sometimes possible after a warning, but it can’t always be guaranteed.
Is the poster notified when I download an X video?
No. Pasting a link only fetches the public video through our server; the poster gets no notification.
